The Last Of Us Part 2 Cut Content Discovered In Datamine, Includes Boar Hunting & Playable Dance In Jackson

The Last of Us: Part 2 dataminer Specializer has uncovered a series of cut content from Naughty Dog‘s post-apocalyptic sequel. including a sequence that involved Ellie hunting wild boar.

This sequence would have taken place after Ellie and Dina return from Seattle, and according to Neil Druckmann, Ellie’s PTSD would have reared its head as she relentlessly pursued the animal. Finally, when she kills the boar, Joel’s voice would have been heard.

Druckmann previously commented that his sequence was given the chop due to “pacing and production.”

Meanwhile, another sequence uncovered involves an early version of Jackson, which seems to reveal that Naughty Dog intended for players to explore more of the town. Furthermore, the dance sequence appears to have been playable to some extent, rather than being presented as a cutscene in the final version.
