The Last Of Us Remake Further Hinted At In New Job Listing

Naughty Dog is heavily rumoured to be working on a The Last of Us remake, and a new job listing for multiple Sony studios including the Uncharted creator has further hinted that the post-apocalyptic adventure is being revamped for PS5.

The job is for a Technical Game Designer, which involves assisting in implementing existing gameplay systems into a new framework, which sounds an awful lot like a remake project. As mentioned, the job is for multiple Sony studios, and not just limited to Naughty Dog.

The Last of Us Remake has yet to be officially announced by Sony, although the initial report by Bloomberg seems pretty confident that it’s happening.

Reports have suggested that the game will be more than just as simple upgrade, and the project will ‘really take advantage of PS5’s power.’

The Last of Us was originally released in 2013 for the PS3 and was brought to the PS4 the following year in the shape of The Last of Us Remastered. Meanwhile, the sequel, The Last of Us: Part 2, came out on PS4 in June 2020.
