HBO has issued the first images for The Last of Us Season 2 ahead of its planned release in early 2025, depicting both Pedro Pascal (Joel) and Bella Ramsey (Ellie) in action.

The Last of Us Season 2 is set to depict the events of The Last of Us: Part 2, although it won’t cover the entire game in one series. Previously, showrunner Craig Mazin has said that he aims to tell the story of the sequel over the course of two seasons if all things go to plan.
Recently, it was reported Pascal had already finished his filming for Season 2, which for those who are familiar with the game may not be surprised given his part in the game. With Season 2, HBO is introducing a number of new characters to the cast that of course appeared in The Last of Us Part 2, including Abby, Dina, and Jesse.
