Dead by Daylight is looking to embrace Japanese horror with its next chapter, with The Ring coming to the game in the shape of The Ringu Chapter in March 2022.
Inspired by the Koji Suzuki-penned novel of the same name and its subsequent film, the Ringu will presumably feature Sadako as its next villain. The western version of the story, adapted as The Ring in 2002 starring Naomi Watts, instead included a young girl named Samara.
Dead by Daylight has added a number of iconic villains over its 22 season so far, including those plucked from the likes of Scream, Hellraiser, Resident Evil, Silent Hill, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and more.

Dead by Daylight launched in 2017 and is now available for numerous platforms, including PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Google Stadia, Android, and iOS.
