The Witcher 3 does not have a level cap

CD Projekt RED has confirmed that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt does not have a level cap in place.

Writing on Twitter (via GearNuke) in response to a fan questioning the level cap in the critically acclaimed fantasy-RPG, the studio’s community bigwig, Marcin Momot, confirmed simply, "There is no level cap."

In other words, players are able to build protagonist Geralt up as much as they wish, giving them reason to keep grinding after the main quest is complete.

However, it’s more interesting when you consider the rumored New Game Plus option, which will really benefit players who have put hours into levelling up their character.

The Witcher 3 released to massive success on May 19, topping the U.K. All Format Chart in the process and becoming the country’s biggest-selling launch of 2015 so far. Read our review of the game here.
