Deep Silver and Fremantlemedia have revealed that developer Hydravision Entertainment is currently working on a videogame adaptation of TV show The X Factor for PS3, 360 and Wii.
Due out later this year across Europe, The X Factor will feature all the stages viewers have come to expect from the show, including auditions, boot camp, judge’s houses as well as extra game modes including career, duet and battle.
"To be able to work with a phenomenal brand such as The X Factor is an incredible opportunity,” said Deep Silver’s George Larch.
"The X Factor is a truly global brand which is instantly recognisable to thousands of gamers and TV fans around the world."
"With the developer, Hydravision Entertainment, Deep Silver will be creating a game that is a true adaptation of the show from the hilarity of the auditions to the excitement of the live show; we will be testing the singing skills of the player and will feature the sharp critique of the judges."
Conceived by music mogul Simon Cowell, The X Factor launched in the UK back in 2004 and will be kicking off its seventh series in August. Cowell has also unveiled plans to bring the singing competition to U.S. shores in September 2011, where he will be acting as executive producer on the show in addition to his duties as a member of the judging panel.
