Developer Eidos Montreal has confirmed that sneak-‘em-up reboot Thief will also be coming to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
The game was originally believed to be a next-generation and PC exclusive title, though it will now be coming to the current crop of hardware from Sony and Microsoft.
"Since Thief’s announcement for a 2014 release on high end PC and next-gen platforms, we’ve received a huge number of questions from community members wondering if the Thief experience would ever be available for their current generation consoles," said Adam Badke, community manager at Eidos Montreal.
"With full details of the new platforms still emerging, it’s understandable that some of our fans are cautious to plunge feet first into the awesomely hot but unchartered waters of the next generation."
Thief was first announced back in 2009 as the fourth instalment in the acclaimed stealth-action series, and later resurfaced earlier this year as a full reboot. The game stars master thief Garrett as he skulks around a Victorian/steampunk-esque metropolis known as The City.
The game is scheduled for release in 2014.
