Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will have day/night cycle

Hideo Kojima has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will feature a day/night cycle.

The Kojima Productions boss told Eurogamer that the cycle will influence several aspects of the game, including guard patrol patterns and other, undisclosed elements.

Resident Evil 6 Leather Jacket Edition detailed, priced

Capcom’s revealed that the Resident Evil 6 Leather Jacket Edition is now available for pre-order for the wallet-draining price of £899. The bundle can be found on the publisher’s recently-opened U.K. online store, where you also find a host of other goodies up for grabs

PS3, 360 not holding us back, says Bethesda

PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 aren’t holding developers back, reckons Pete Hines, marketing vice president for Bethesda. Speaking to MCV, Hines stated his belief that new storytelling, technical and visual heights can still be achieved with the current crop of home consoles.

Monster Hunter movie planned by Resident Evil producer

Paul W. S. Anderson, producer of Resident Evil: Retribution, announced his involvement in the genesis of a Monster Hunter movie.

Hitman clothing line announced

Clothing juggernaut Trapstar has teamed up with publishing powerhouse Square Enix to develop a range of Hitman inspired clobber.

Trapstar is a noted favourite of multi-million selling pop star Rihanna, and its Hitman range will feature t-shirts, hoodies and caps adorned with iconic Agent 47 symbols that should be instantly recognisable to fans.

Terraria confirmed for PSN, XBL

505 Games and Engine Software have confirmed that indie hit Terraria is hitting PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE Arcade in early 2013.

The brainchild of Andrew Spinks, Terraria originally hit PC in 2011 and received rave reviews from critics, scooping the #1 spot on the 2011 Indie of the Year Player Choice on IndieDB.

Resident Evil 6 DLC detailed

Capcom’s lifted the lid on its post-launch content plans for upcoming zombie blaster Resident Evil 6. The dramatic horror sequel will be supported by a slew of extra game modes and other goodies following its global launch on October 2, 2012.

Resistance dev on why it never quite matched Halo

The Resistance franchise has remained one of the PlayStation 3’s key first-party efforts since Sony’s console launched back in November 2006.

However, while initially billed as a series to rival that of Halo, Resistance never quite managed to set tills alight in the same way as Bungie’s Xbox 360-exclusive franchise achieved.

Gearbox boss backs Borderlands 2 PS Vita

The president of Gearbox Software has said that a PlayStation Vita version of Borderlands 2 is entirely possible – even if his studio won’t be the ones to develop a handhed version of the game.

Bayonetta 2 not coming to PS3, 360

Platinum Games’ cult hit Bayonetta remains one of the most celebrated third-party titles of the current generation of consoles. Released in January 2010 on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, the game pits you in the boots of the eponymous, gun-wielding witch as she stylishly blasts her way through heavenly adversaries across a series of lush locations.

Killzone HD gets release date, full Trophy list

While the Killzone Trilogy package will help all you ISA rookies out there catch up to the series, many veterans are only looking for a way to play Killzone HD. Good news – the latest PS2 remaster is coming to PlayStation Network as a standalone downloadable game on October 23 in North America, and October 24 in Europe.
