Three Fields Entertainment Takes To Patreon To Secure Funding From Players After Putting Staff On Redundancy Notice

Wreckreation developer Three Fields Entertainment has launched a Patreon page in an effort to secure funding from fans following news that the studio was forced to put its entire staff on notice of redundancy.

Fiona Sperry, CEO of Three Fields Entertainment, announced on December 4 that the studio was unable to continue in its current state “without the enthusiasm or financial support from our publisher to continue development,” noting that the company had to self-fund its efforts this year including the post-launch content for Wreckreation.

Speaking on its newly-established Patreon page, Three Fields Entertainment made it clear how dire the situation is, stating that without support “we literally cannot continue.”

Without this support we literally cannot continue. Patreon gives us the ability to produce more frequent updates, try new ideas, bring more content to life and interact more closely with the community. Your support, whether $2 or $50, helps us keep the lights on, build the world of Wreckreation, and take creative risks that wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

The post went on to thank “everyone who has supported us, player our games, or believed in our studio,” and reiterate that the Wreckreation Cross-Play update is set to be published before Christmas. “We hope you and your friends can enjoy the world that we have built together, which ever platform you play on.”
