The PlayStation Store has listed the PS5 and PS4 versions of Tomb Raider: Anniversary for release on November 18, 2025, with the game previously believed to be launching as part of October’s PS Plus Extra & Premium lineup.
Tomb Raider: Anniversary was developed by Crystal Dynamics and is a remake of the original 1996 Tomb Raider, with heroine Lara Croft embarking on a quest for the Scion, an artefact from the mythical city of Atlantis. The core narrative remains in place from the source material, although the game is now powered by the Tomb Raider Legend engine, overhauling the visuals and implementing new gameplay mechanics.

Many of the iconic locations from the original Tomb Raider have been completely redesigned for Anniversary. For example, St. Francis’ Folly now features larger and more complex puzzles, while Peru’s City of Vilcabamba has been rebuilt to better portray its now-extinct civilisation.
