Square Enix has revealed that it has some “exciting Tomb Raider news” as it reveals its plans for E3 2016 next week.
Speaking in its Road to E3 Blog, the publishing giant confirmed that it will showcase a number of titles at the Los Angeles event, including Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Hitman, Just Cause 3, Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness, and I Am Setsuna.
"We’ve got some other exciting demos lined up on the show floor," said the company, "but we’ll save those updates for our Road To E3 Part 2 blog, which will feature some exciting Tomb Raider news and details on a few new games that our team has been hard at work on."
The company also confirmed that we’ll see the return of Square Enix Presents.
"We’ll be debriefing you on not only the latest news, but also providing a more in-depth look into our games throughout the entirety of E3. Expect to see content like developer interviews and exclusive live game demos. Suffice to say we’ll have some exciting guests from our Square Enix family throughout the conference. Some old and some new, but all will have really entertaining content to share with the fans."
Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to PlayStation 4 later this year, so it’s likely we’ll hear something about the game at E3. Realistically, the news that Square Enix teased could be a release date announcement, although the optimist in us would love to see a new Tomb Raider announced.
