Flight School Studios has announced that Stonefly will launch on PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One on June 1, 2021.
If you haven’t read up on the game previously, Stonefly follows Anika Stonefly, a naive inventory who remarks on an adventure to recovery a valuable family heirloom. Along the way, you’ll glide through forests and over treetops while harvesting minerals to craft mech pats for your rig and square off against carnivorous bugs.
Anika will also brush shoulders with a number of characters along the way, where you’ll forge relationships and unearth more about the coming of age story for the protagonist. Once the day ends, players can take it easy in their tent and reflect and progress through the story.
In addition, you can obtain cosmetic items on your journey and if you’re stuck you can summon dragonflies to point you on your way. Furthermore, stages are designed to be explored organically by the player, so there’s no clearcut path to follow.
