Marvelous Entertainment has staple-gunned a release date to the US and UK version of Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition, confirming the enhanced version of the Nintendo Switch hack-‘n-slash title will launch on October 17.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes Complete Edition Release Date Set
XSEED will be publishing the PS4 version of the game in North America, while Marvelous Entertainment will be handling distribution duties in European territories. Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes features all available DLC for the game, as well as sprucing up the visuals in shiny high-definition for Sony’s seven-year-old console.
Travis Strikes Again: No More Heroes was originally released for the Switch back in January 2019. The game takes place after the events of No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle.
The timing of the news is pretty interesting, as we recently heard that Goichi Suda was in talks with Marvelous about bringing No More Heroes and No More Heroes 2 to the PS4 at some point in remastered form.
Here’s the full lowdown of the game:
Several years after No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Travis is living his best life in a trailer in the American south, along with his pet cat Jeane. The open air, absolute freedom and plenty of video games…what more could an otaku assassin want? That is until Badman, the father of Travis’ past opponent Bad Girl, shows up to exact revenge for Travis’ role in her demise!
During the ensuing battle, things go horribly wrong and the two are sucked into the Death Drive Mk II-a legendary gaming console that plays games using mysterious objects known as Death Balls. It’s said that collecting all six Death Balls-and beating the games that they contain – will grant the successful player one wish… Now Travis and Badman must put aside their differences, team up and fight their way through several game worlds in a bid to gain that elusive wish, exterminating every last Bug as they go.
