Treyarch taking on fresh staff, new CoD in the works?

The eagle-eyed chaps at Gamerzines have spotted a job listing on Treyarch’s official website, confirming the Call of Duty developer is looking to supplement its workforce by taking on board two new staff members.

According to the listing, the studio is on the hunt for a gameplay combat designer to report directly to “the design director for the Call of Duty multiplayer team at Treyarch.”

In addition, it’s also looking to hire a scripter that may be required to take “a design test utilizing Call of Duty mod tools,” before noting that successful applicants will be working on “combat systems (such as weapons and attachments) and gameplay mechanics (such as Perks and spawning).”

Treyarch hasn’t formally announced that it’s working on a new Call of Duty game as of yet, though it’s entirely conceivable it could be planning a follow-up to last year’s mammoth-selling Black Ops, or possibly even new DLC.

This year’s entry in the venerable FPS series is believed to be a collaborative effort between Sledgehammer Games, Infinity Ward and Raven Software.
