Treyarch has unwrapped the first details on the multiplayer component for its upcoming shooter Call of Duty: Black Ops.
Among the features detailed include Wager Matches, Combat Training as well as details on increased gun customisation options.
Wager Matches allow players to utilize the currency they’ve earned (dubbed COD Points) and gamble it against other players. If you manage to make it in to the top three of your match you’ll be racking in the cash. Meanwhile, Combat Training takes place offline and has gamers squaring up against bots, while gun’s can now be kitted out with a plethora of items such as decals and clen tags, all of which can be rotated and resized to your liking.
Elsewhere, Treyarch also confirmed four new game modes up for grabs, two of which were previewed at the LA-based multiplayer event – namely Sticks and Stones and Gun Game. These are completely disparate from the standard online progression you’ve come to expect, with the former pitting players against each other with crossbows and knifes, while the latter gives you access to a progressive series of fire arms based on kills.
Stay tuned for more on Black Ops’ multiplayer modes as it breaks.
