Trombone Champ originally released on Steam back in 2022, and almost immediately took the games industry by storm. A game that put classic and modern songs alike to the tune of a trombone had players tooting and laughing along while having an incredible time doing nothing more than drag their mouse up and down.
Now, announced during the inaugural VR Games Showcase, that experience is being brought to PlayStation fans, but not just through the DualSense controller.
Trombone Champ: Unflattened brings the hilarity and musicality of Trombone Champ into virtual reality, and it’ll be available on PS5 and PS VR2 sometime this coming Fall 2024.
This has been made possible through Trombone Champ’s original developer Holy Wow Studios collaboration with Flat2VR Studios, the team dedicated to porting non-VR games into virtual reality.
Trombone Champ: Unflattened will arrive with more than 50 songs and a wide variety of trombones ranging from realistic and flashy to the fanatical and downright wacky.
It’s a game that’s all about tootin’ until you can’t toot-no-more, and hopefully we’ll have a release date soon so we can all prepare our lips for tootin.
