A listing filed by the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) has indicated that car combat romp Twisted Metal will be making the transition to Sony’s PlayStation Network service in the near future.
Unsurprisingly, the ratings board has slapped a ‘Teen’ rating on the title, citing numerous “violence.” While the game hasn’t officially been announced for PSN/PSP, it’s pretty much a given considering the success rate the ESRB has provided in the past for outing upcoming PSone classics.
Conceived by Eat, Sleep Play boss David Jaffe, Twisted Metal originally hit PlayStation way back in 1995 and went on to shift over one million copies in North America alone, and has become something of a cult hit among hardcore gamers.
We’ll keep you posted on any developments regarding its impending re-release.
