In the most casual way possible, Ubisoft Massive has announced Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, and Julian Gerighty, who’s been with Ubisoft for years and was previously the creative director on The Division 2, is now the executive producer for the entire Division brand.
The announcement was made in a tweet, and further clarified in a blog post on Ubisoft’s website, which in the days of livestream events for even the smallest games, feels quite casual.
Especially when considering that The Division is one of Ubisoft’s larger franchises that isn’t named Assassin’s Creed. It’s also huge news for fans to know that Gerighty is back on the franchise, this time in an even bigger way.
“Julian will oversee all games and products, including Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, led by Massive Entertainment who is actively building a team for the game.” Ubisoft said in its announcement.

Truly it seems the only disappointing takeaway from this announcement for Division fans is the fact that Massive is still “actively building a team” for The Division 3, which makes it sound like it’ll be years before we’re even close to it coming out.
