Ubisoft To Launch gTV, A New Online UK TV Channel Celebrating Video Game Culture

Assassin’s Creed publisher Ubisoft has announced plans to launch gTV on April 15, a new online UK channel that celebrates video games culture. gTV will be available to view via Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter and Twitch.

According to the company, gTV will be supported by a variety of original programming that covers the development of games, its creators, players, and industry events. gTV is set to broadcast multiple original content pieces each week, including documentaries, talk-shows, live shows and more.

“gTV is all about celebrating the cultural footprint of video games with rich content with a fun and irreverent tone,” the company said.

Ubisoft EMEA Vice of sales and marketing, Geoffroy Sardin, commented:

So many of us at Ubisoft are proud players, proud to be part of video game culture. Our intent with gTV is to honour this form of entertainment, sharing stories tied to our games, but also the ones that left a mark on us as players.
