Capcom lifted the lid on a fresh batch of Umbrella Corps screenshots for you to feast your eyes on, this time taking a look at the newly-unveiled Kijuju stage.
Fans of Resident Evil 5 should instantly recognise the sun-baked African setting, as it was heavily featured in the first chunk of Capcom’s 2009 action-horror sequel for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.
From the look of things, the stage has been inspired by the ‘Public Assembly’ area of Resi 5, and is populated with blood-thirsty Majini, as one would expect from a Kijuju level. However, much of the stage has been expanded, with players able to battle it out above and below ground level.
Check out images of the Kijuju stage in our gallery. Umbrella Corps is scheduled for release on PS4 and PC in May 2016. The game features various stages plucked from Capcom’s venerable zombie-blasting franchise, and sees gamers engaged in frantic shootouts with each other as part of Umbrella’s elite mercenary unit.
Resident Evil celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, having originally released on the PSOne on March 22, 1996 in Japan. The game arrived in the U.S. and Europe in summer 1996, and was later ported to the Sega Saturn and PC in 1997.
Quite what Capcom has up its sleeves to mark the occasion remains unknown, but we expect something to be announced soon enough.
