Uncharted 4 dev pushing for 1080p/60fps for all PS4 games

The developer behind the award-winning Uncharted franchise has revealed that it is aiming for all of its future PlayStation 4 games to run at 1080p/60fps, after achieving the milestone with The Last of Us: Remastered.

Speaking during an interview with Eurogamer, Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer commented, “I think that [1080p60] is what we want to push for with anything that we’re doing on this generation.”

“That’s sort of the mandate from when we were building the PS4 engine. Let’s see if we can do this and hit it. We hit it with The Last of Us Remastered, so why not stick with this?”

The company’s next project following the PS4 version of The Last of Us is Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, which will be hitting stores some time in 2015.

Speaking of Uncharted, Meyer also gave hope to the possibility of a remastered edition of fortune hunter Nathan Drake’s PS3-based adventures, which he previously touched on last week.

“We’ll have to see,” he said. “You know, I’d like to see it, and [Worldwide Studios president] Shu [Yoshida] would like to see it, too."

Naughty Dog is currently considering ideas for a sequel to The Last of Us.
