The founder of Boss Key Productions has weighed in on the hotly anticipated Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, revealing he’s just as impressed with Naughty Dog’s PlayStation 4-exclusive sequel as the rest of us.
"I have a lot of friends over at Naughty Dog and I think Uncharted 4 is going to be insane. Every demo I see makes me want to just stab myself in the face…Everyone there is working so hard to get that game out," Cliff Bleszinski told Examiner.
Bleszinski, who is perhaps best known for his work on the Gears of War franchise, is currently working on his next major project, LawBreakers. Players can now sign up for the game’s Alpha session, which will be kicking off soon.
"I hope it’ll be a living product that provides a lot of drama for people. Everyone throws the word eSport around easily, and my thing is if we’re going to be an eSport eventually, we need to start with verbs and drama," he said.
Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out on May 10, 2016. The story picks up three years after Nathan Drake’s last adventure, and sees the plucky fortune hunter coming out of retirement as he is reunited with his long-lost brother, Sam.
Together with Victor Sullivan, the siblings head out on a globetrotting adventure to locate Henry Avery’s legendary treasure horde, all the while pursued by a group of cutthroat mercenaries lead by the ruthless Nadine Ross.
Developer Naughty Dog has implemented a range of gameplay enhancements for Nate’s final adventure, including larger environments to explore and improved stealth/melee combat. Multiplayer has also been overhauled to feature mysticals and AI buddies.
