Uncharted 4 update 1.31 out now!
Naughty Dog has released a new multiplayer-focused update for its critically acclaimed Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End.
This latest patch for the PlayStation 4-exclusive action-adventure game doesn’t do a great deal, although it does iron out various bugs and improves overall game performance.

- Fixed various bugs.
- Game improvements.
Uncharted 4 update 1.29 was the last major update for Nathan Drake’s epic swan song, and introduced Team Tournaments following its inclusion in PS4 update 5.00. The update also applied a number of bug fixes.
Released in May 2016, Uncharted 4 was a critical and commercial success, achieving a Metacritic of 93 and selling 8.7 million copies worldwide as of December 21 last year. Unsurprisingly, the title is the best-selling in the franchise to date.
Despite its popularity, Uncharted 4 endured a troubled development cycle. Naughty Dog scrapped around eight months of work following the departure of Amy Hennig, who left the California-based studio for the now-defunct Visceral Games in March 2014.
Uncharted 5 release could still happen
Uncharted 4 was originally going to be the final entry in the series developed by Naughty Dog. However, the studio instead decided to produce the standalone Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, which was originally going to be single-player DLC for UC4.
With The Lost Legacy launching back in August, the future of the series remains up in the air. Naughty Dog has said the franchise can continue without Drake as the main protagonist, although has suggested it will be developed by another studio.
Nolan North, the voice actor behind Drake, has already said that he’d be up for reprising his iconic role in the future. Naughty Dog’s latest comments on a new Uncharted game have made it clear it’s not ruling anything out just yet.
