Uncharted PS4: Todd Stashwick’s role recast amid rampant Naughty Dog changes

Following the departure of lead writer Amy Hennig, game director Justin Richmond, and lead artist Nate Wells from Naughty Dog’s Uncharted sequel on PS4, we’ve got news of another departure. This time, it’s Todd Stashwick, the seemingly villainous narrator from the game’s teaser trailer (below).

As Stashwick told IGN, his role in the game has been "recast" after six months of involvement. A couple weeks ago, we heard that Stashwick signed on with EA Visceral to pen the team’s upcoming Star Wars game alongside Hennig. This came after he posted cryptic plot hints on Twitter.

No comment from Sony on the recasting of Stashwick’s character in the game, and there’s been very little comment (only reassurance from Naughty Dog presidents Christophe Balestra and Evan Wells) on this deluge of shifts in Uncharted’s PS4 team. Hopefully these signs aren’t pointing to prolonged, or even temporary, development trouble.
