The Uncharted franchise has sold over 21 million copies worldwide since the series’ inception in 2007, developer Naughty Dog announced on the PlayStation Blog today.
The figure was dropped by the studio’s Community Strategist, Arne Meyer, during the official reveal of the Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection earlier this afternoon.
Meyer said the sales milestone includes all three major Uncharted games, namely Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The PlayStation Vita title, Uncharted: Golden Abyss, was not mentioned.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is due out on October 7 in the U.S. and October 9 in the U.K. Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End is due out in spring 2016, likely before March 31, 2016.
