ORIGINAL ARTICLE:
Capcom has announced plans to release a new Resident Evil 6 demo in Japan later this month.
The playable teaser will feature co-op and includes new stages for the three main protagonists: Chris Redfield, Leon S. Kennedy and Jake Muller.
The demo will be released on September 18 for PlayStation Network and Xbox LIVE. However, it remains unknown whether or not it will be made available in the U.S. and Europe at present.
Resident Evil 6 is due for release on October 2, 2012 for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The game takes place 15 years after the destruction of Raccoon City as depicted in Resident Evil 3: Nemesis, and sees the deadly new C-Virus cause a worldwide biohazard outbreak, with the action take place in the U.S., China and Eastern Europe.
Three main campaigns will be featured, each one possessing a distinct gameplay style. Kennedy’s mission evokes the more old-school survival horror vibe and sees the return of the zombies, while Redfield’s campaign is more action-oriented like Resident Evil 5. Finally, Muller’s is more melee-based, taking advantage of his super-human powers.
