Big Bad Wolf Studio has shared a number of new details on Vampire: The Masquerade – Swansong‘s narrative and lore as a part of the World of Darkness News Show
The game shares a lot of DNA with The Council, with it still being a third person Narrative RPG. But, you will meet far more characters in Swansong as you move through the city of Boston.
The game is not an action RPG like Bloodlines 2, the narrative is very much the core of the experience. There will also be a connection between the two games, although what exactly this is was not discussed.
The game won’t allow you to just use your powers and vampire characteristics at all times, as the goal of these games is to protect the Masquerade and you will need to choose when to reveal yourself as a vampire and when to hold back. As with The Council, there will be choices and Swansong is a game about the consequences of those choices.
There are a ton more details and in-depth lore you can catch in the 30 or so minute interview below, which starts from 04:50.
