Square Enix has staple-gunned an August 20, 2024 release date to Visions of Mana for PS5 & PS4 in a new trailer, with preorders now open.
Announced in December last year, Visions of Mana is the first entry in the franchise for 15 years, and looks to return to the series’ reboots by crafting a dedicated action-RPG outing. Players follow the adventure of soul guard, Val, who is assigned the task of protecting his childhood friend. Airi Yoshioka has provided brand new designs for the series’ iconic creatures, while Hiroki Kikuta, Tsuyoshi Sekito and Ryo Yamazaki provide the soundtrack.

Every four years, alms from around the world are chosen to travel to the Tree of Mana and rejuvenate the flow of mana power. A soul guard is also chosen to ensure the alms’ safe pilgrimage. Val is one such guard. When Val’s childhood friend is selected to be an alm, he sets off on a journey across the world to accompany her on the pilgrimage. Embark on an adventure of a lifetime!
Visions of Mana launches for PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X/S, and Xbox One on August 29.
