Warhammer 40K: Space Marine 2 Dev Outlines Future Patches, Includes Adjustments To AI Bots, Campaign & Connectivity Issues

Saber Interactive has revealed how it plans to improve to Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 in future updates, with its main focus being connectivity issues and AI Bots.

The company has garnered feedback from fans since launch and provided a Q&A on Steam to offer more insight into future updates, where it touched base on numerous areas including connectivity issues, AI bots, and campaign.

In regards to connectivity issues, Saber Interactive revealed that it is planning a ‘bigger patch soon’ to iron out a number of issues, including loss of saves and inability to connect with friends. It also plans to bump its server capacity to cope with demand. Speaking on AI Bots, which are making solo games much harder due to being regularly labelled as insufficient, the team acknowledged they are a bit to passive at times, and therefore in the next patch some adjustments to their behaviour will be implemented.

Meanwhile, players have complained that the Veteran difficulty for the campaign is too tough (not helped by the aforementioned bot problem), something which Saber Interactive is now planning on tweaking in a ‘future patch.’ The studio said that AI aggressiveness will be adjusted, but it will still ‘remain challenging.’

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 was released on September 9, 2024 for PS5, PC, and Xbox Series X/S. According to Tim Willits and Todd Hollenshead, Space Marine 2 was the fastest-selling game that the pair have worked on to date.
