Watch Dogs 2 revealed, launching on PS4 in November 2016 with co-op

Ubisoft has officially unveiled Watch Dogs 2 via a world premiere event on YouTube, confirming the open-world hacking sequel will take place in San Francisco as previously reported.

The location packs in all the important aspects of the bay area, with the development team stating it’s going for a simulation-type experience where the city feels alive to the player, even if they’re just standing still doing nothing.

CToS makes a return from the previous game, although Aiden Pearce won’t be putting in an appearance as the playable protagonist. In his place, we have Marcus Holloway, a proficient hacker who is described as ‘tech savvy’ with a rebellious streak.

Holloway is said possess better parkour skills than his predecessor, and is also pretty handy with his fists to boot. He’s also a member of Desec, a notorious group of hackers.

Speaking of hacking, gamers will be able to tap into every individual, vehicle and connected device in Watch Dogs 2, allowing you to take control of drones, cars, cranes and more during gameplay. Mass hacking is also introduced, letting you hack multiple targets at once.

The sequel is also going to town in terms of online multiplayer, with co-op and player vs. player activities available to take part in in a seamless shared world. Ubisoft is hoping to cater to all player styles, not wanting to force its audience to play Watch Dogs 2 a certain way.

Watch Dogs 2 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 4, PC and Xbox One on November 15, 2016.
