Watch Dogs 2’s protagonist reportedly leaked, looks like Aiden Pearce is out

The lead protagonist for Watch Dogs 2 appears to have been leaked by performance artist and actor, Cort King.

King posted the shot on his Instagram account last month, although it’s now been made private. However, a shot of the post was captured by NerdLeaks, which you can see below.

"Had a blast doing motion capture work as the lead character in a new video game series!" he wrote, including the text Watch Dogs 2 as a hashtag. As you can see from the image, it appears former Watch Dogs hero Aiden Pearce has been replaced by an all-new character.

Watch Dogs 2 has been officially confirmed by Ubisoft for a 2017 release on PlayStation 4, although we’ve yet to see any footage of the game in action. However, we’ll almost certainly get a look at the game at E3 next month

Chatter on a sequel to the 2014 action-hacking title has been doing the rounds for 18 months now, with Ubisoft originally suggesting the game will take more risks than its predecessor. Rumored locations have included Camden and San Francisco.
