PlayStation Vita-exclusive adventure title Assassin’s Creed III: Liberation has bagged the Writer’s Guild of America’s 2013 Outstanding Achievement in Videogame Writing gong.
The portable stab-‘em-up, which introduces players to the series’ first female assassin, beat out fellow heavyweight competitors such as Assassin’s Creed III and Uncharted: Golden Abyss.
Other nominations include 007 Legends, Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two and Halo 4.
Set between 1765 and 1777, Liberation follows African-French assassin Aveline de Grandpre as she stabs, sprints and free-runs across 18th century New Orleans. The game’s script was penned by Jill Murray and Richard Farrese.
