If you’ve already checked out the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey full map, we’re sure you’re expecting the Odyssey level cap to be huge. So, let’s take a look at the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Level Cap and its difference from Origins.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Map Size
Before we proceed to the AC Odyssey level cap, let us dissect first how huge its map is. We all have seen how big Origins’ map is, but picture that as 62 percent bigger. Ubisoft claims it to be the biggest map in Assassin’s Creed’s history.

The game’s director, Scott Philips confirms, “It’s a bigger map overall. The biggest map we’ve ever built. It’s got a lot of seas, of course, because we’ve brought back seamless naval. So there’s a lot of area to explore on the land and on the water. It’s a huge map filled with tons of content, places to explore, people to discover, stories to experience, and quest as well.”
Taken from the game’s inspiration Homer’s Odyssey, Assassin’s Creed Odyssey’s setting features a lot of water. This is why the map is bigger than the Origins, because of the vast oceans and seas where a good chunk of battles take place. However, if we’ll talk about land mass, Origins is still bigger than Odyssey.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Map has seven regions in total. They are Kephallonia Island, Northern Greece, Attika Peninsula, Forest Islands, Paradise Islands, Arid Islands, and Peloponnese. Some of the regions are composed of more sub-regions.
Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Level Cap
Generally, the big map shows the recommended level for each region and sub-regions. Assassin’s Creed Odyssey Level Cap reaches 48 to 50 in few locations. Areas that require level cap 50 are: Makedonia, Thasos, Lesbos, Lemnos, and Chios.
But this does not mean every region is lined in super high-level qualification at the start. Rather, Odyssey’s creative director says, “You never burn a zone, come back, and it’s level 2 when you’re level 20. We have a system that will catch up, but never fully.”
We’d also expect the Assassin’s Creed Odyssey level cap to be raised alongside future DLC
