Whore of the Orient gets first gameplay footage

Whore of the Orient, the next-generation project from L.A. Noire developer Team Bondi, has received its first gameplay footage via VideoGamer.com.

The footage comes from a ‘trusted source’ according to the site, and offers gamers a glimpse at the open-world actioner’s protagonist, combat, gunplay and city. Check it out below.

Whore of the Orient’s writer and director, Brendan McNamara, has described the game as ‘one of the great untold stories of the 20th century,’ though little else has been revealed on the project – up until now, that is.

Team Bondi ran into a spot of bother following completion of crime caper L.A. Noire in 2011, with allegations of poor working conditions from former staff members stirring much controversy for the studio.

The company was later snapped up by Kennedy Miller Mitchell in August 2011, after being placed in administration and its assets liquidated earlier that year.

As of April 2013, Whore of the Orient is actively seeking a publisher.
