At its Anime Expo 2016 panel, Sekai Project announced it’s bringing the all three episodes of the Japanese visual novel World End Economica to the PlayStation 4 and Vita in English. The ports are expected to launch sometime in 2017 and will be available digitally and in limited physically quantities from Limited Run Games.
The physical releases will have reversible covers and pre-orders will receive a bonus gift, which will be unveiled when the launch draws near.
Written by Spice and Wolf author Isuna Hasekura, World End Economica is being localized by Sekai Project for PC, Mac, Linux, and Android following its successful Kickstarter crowdfunding in 2014. Backers of that Kickstarter campaign will be granted early pre-order access.
So far, the first two out of three episodes have been released, with the translation on the third and final episode completed last month.
Here is the official story premise:
Set in the far future on the moon, a mere 16 years after humans have begun to colonize it, a young boy named Haru has been chasing his wildest dream – a dream to stand where no man has stood before. But in order to do so he needs capital, a ludicrous amount of capital! What better place to seek out and raise that capital than the stock market? However, there are two key rules that govern the stock market:
The first rule: Never take a loss.
The second rule: Never forget the first.
Only those who follow these rules are able to obtain enormous wealth….
