World Of Tanks Update 1.59 Patch Notes Confirmed For PS4

Wargaming has rolled out the full list of World of Tanks update 1.59 patch notes for you to digest, which is now live for PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game. As mentioned in the teaser yesterday, the update includes crossplay for console players among other additions.

Game Content

  • Improve your skills as the ultimate Tank Commander: Commander Mode returns as a permanent PvE mode!
  • New Battle Variants added to maps! A Battle Variant is where the same game mode can have a different base and spawn layouts which provides a new experience adding variety to the game
    • Kaunas
      • A new standard Battle Variant added
        • Base locations are in the Northeast and Southwest corners
      • The original standard battle setup has been adjusted for balance, so the South base location has been moved
    • El Halluf
      • A new encounter Battle Variant added
      • The encounter circle is in the Northwest corner
    • Arctic Region
      • A new standard Battle Variant added
      • Base locations are more North and South
    • Fisherman’s Bay
      • A new standard Battle Variant added
        • Base locations are in the Northeast and Southwest corners
      • The original standard battle set up has been adjusted for balance by adjusting the spawn locations
    • XP changes
      • When shooting an enemy that is spotted or tracked by another player, the shooter will now receive 100% of the XP earned for the damage dealt instead of only a portion. The player or players who have the enemy spotted or tracked will still receive XP for the assist and their earnings are not affected by this change
    • The following changes were made to keep your vehicle’s performance more effective throughout the course of the battle:
      • Effectiveness of damaged engine has been increased from 50% to 60%
      • Knocked-out Crew members’ effectiveness has been increased from 0% to 20%
    • Skill display added to Crew on Rewards screen
      • On the Celebration screens where the player receives a Crew with Skills, the number of Skills is now indicated on the Celebration screen
    • UK Tank Balance Changes
      • We’ve updated the balance on the many UK Tank Destroyers. Over time they have become a little outclassed by other tanks on the battlefield and needed some upgrades in firepower to stay competitive. Go tear up the enemy Tankers! Changes made:

  • Removed base capture delay
    • When capturing a base, there is no longer a delay until the battle ends. Now, once the base is captured, victory will be immediately given to the team who has captured the base
  • The base capture indicator will now show the total number of players currently capturing the base
  • Proving Grounds game mode has been removed
  • Community Map has been updated with changes based on the latest Poll results—check out the current progress and changes in Team Training
  • Tracks no longer stop when your tank starts to slide on a slope; any forward/backward input will be maintained
  • War Chest depot has been moved to the Store Tab
    • Any owned War Chest will now be located in the Store and can be opened there
    • War Chests are no longer accessed in the Ops Tab as it’s been replaced with the Seasons Tab
  • Players can now choose whether they want to purchase an item for Gold or use a Voucher
  • Players who receive a Gift will now have a Celebration screen to inform them upon login
  • PS4 Play Together feature has been removed as it’s no longer supported by the console
  • Tracer FX has been updated
  • Improved Crew Descriptions in the Log tab to be more descriptive of what occurs during the following events:

Bug Fixes

General

  • Only the host of a closed platoon can now invite other players and have them join
  • All consoles have the correct music for Dukla Pass
  • Hold progress no longer resets if the player started selling/purchasing before the control legend updates
  • Switching to director/freecam from a tank that will drown no longer shows the drowning indicator in those camera modes
  • Adjusted the lighting on War Chests to prevent incorrect shadows
  • When purchasing a vehicle with Gold or buying out a Mercenary contract, when a player is awarded a garage slot, it now says “Slot(s):”
  • MoE text description on the PBRS is no longer cut off
  • Crew XP Boosters are now displaying in the PBRS where all the other Boosters are located
  • Killing an enemy with one shot by ammo racking will no longer display an HP value greater than the tank’s HP
  • War Chest celebration screen no longer times out when opening another Chest
  • “Watch Replay” button no longer appears while in min-install on the PBRS
