World War Z was released for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One in April 2019, and takes place in the same universe as the Brad Pitt-starring film and loosely based on the 2006 book. The game follows a group of survivors as they struggle against the marauding zombie hordes in Moscow, New York, Jerusalem, Tokyo, and Sydney.
One of the most impressive aspects about World War Z is the Swarm Engine, which can accommodate up to 1000 enemies on-screen at any time, making for some remarkable sights as players are set upon by crowds of blood-thirsty undead. The game is tailored for co-op play, and features modes such as Swarm Deathmatch, Swarm Domination, King of the Hill, and Player vs Player vs Zombie.
World War Z features six different character classes to select from, including Gunslinger, Hellraiser, Fixer, Medic, Slasher, and Exterminator.
