The latest Worms game from Team 17, coming to PS4, Xbox One and PC, later this year will feature crafting.
When you begin your worm-popping battles in Worms W.M.D, you’ll initially start with 35 different weapons and utilities. With the new crafting system, the total number will be expanded to 80.
Explaining how the crafting system works, Team 17 says:
“Players will start the game with a specific amount of crafting ingredients, depending on which game scheme is chosen. Or none at all if they choose the Classic scheme! Further ingredients can then be collected from crafting crates or scavenged by dismantling existing weapons. Can’t reach the enemy worm and you’ve only got a Baseball Bat? Dismantle it and craft a grenade!”
Crafting can be carried between turns or during your turn in online play, and Team 17 has given us a sneak peek at some of the weapons that can be created, including the Electric Sheep and the Concrete Angry Donkey.
