Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will offer players the chance to sample the game ahead of release with a playable demo, SEGA and Ryu ga Gotoku Studio have announced.
There’s not much else to go on right now, as the demo was only casually confirmed in a post on the PlayStation Blog regarding hands-on with the game. “At the same event, Sega announced a playable demo will be available for the title, more news of which will be shared in the future,” it reads.
Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties launches on February 12, 2026 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S. The game is a full remake of the original Yakuza 3, which launched for the PS3 back in 2009, and sees Kazuma Kiryu swapping the bustling, neon-soaked streets of Kamurocho for the more tranquil Ryukyu Islands of Okinawa where he’s managing the Sunshine Orphanage.
New to this remake however is the Dark Ties side-story, which focuses on the character of Yoshitaka Mine, who appears in the main story of Yakuza 3. Here, players will be play as Mine and master his own style of combat, as he is driven “to find true bonds” across a dramatic journey packed with engaging side experiences.
