Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties Has Players Raise Kiryu’s ‘Daddy Rank’ By Helping Out The Kids At Morning Glory

Ryu ga Gotoku Studio has revealed that Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties will add in a bunch of new side activities for Kazuma Kiryu to take part in with the kids at Morning Glory Orphanage.

While the original version of Yakuza 3 had Kiryu-san interact with the children in his care at the orphanage, this remaster of the game expands greatly on that premise, as you’ll now perform various tasks and indulge in various mini-games to truly make you feel like you’re making a difference to their lives.

Players will be able to cook, tend to the garden, help the kids out with their homework, fish, and catch bugs. Furthermore, ‘heartwarming sub stories’ for each child will be unlocked as you interact with them on a daily basis; for example, Taichi wants to become a pro wrestler who he’s older, so Kiryu will help him overcome his loss at a youth sumo tournament by training with him.

As Kiryu helps out the kids at Morning Glory, he will grow his Daddy Rank, and will further his skills as a caretaker. One example is cooking. At first, Kiryu can only make a curry, but as he starts doing daily chores, his skills will improve and will have access to a greater rage of recipes allowing him to whip up the kids’ favourite meals. He’ll also make bags and pouches by sewing, and the various produce and crafts you earn through your activities can then be sold at Morning Glory Market, the funds of which can be used to furnish the orphanage.

Yakuza Kiwami 3 & Dark Ties launches on February 12, 2025 for PS5, PS4, PC, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X/S.
