The latest issue of Famitsu has pinned down a March 17 release date for gangster brawler-turned-zombie-shooter Yakuza: Of The End in Japan.
Known on its home turf as Ryu ga Gotoku Of The End, the sequel takes place in the middle of a zombie pandemic in the neon city of Kamurocho, with players hopping in the shoes of a gaggle of undead slayers including series poster boy, Kazuma Kiryu.
However, Of The End will still pack in some quintessential Yakuza distractions for our consumption, including staples such as hostesses, mini-games, gambling and more. No western date has been confirmed yet, but with Yakuza 4 arriving next spring, we reckon it’s in for a shot.
In related news, series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi is busy chiselling away on a brand new sci-fi robot outing by the name of Binary Domain, which is already looking mighty impressive.
More as it breaks.
