The creator behind the Gran Turismo franchise has suggested the hotly anticipated seventh instalment in the racing simulation franchise isn’t too far off.
Speaking with SpazioGames, Kazunori Yamauchi, CEO of Polyphony Digital, said that "we do not have to wait so long" when quizzed as to when Gran Turismo 7 will be released.
Elsewhere, Yamauchi-san revealed that the extra horsepower afforded by the PlayStation 4 will allow the studio to incorporate more realistic damage modelling and premium cars in the sequel.
An E3 reveal for the racing title is not expected, however.
Polyphony Digital recently admitted that the PS4 will make an ‘incredible difference‘ to the series, while the studio recently gained extra help in the shape of former Forza developer, Mike Caviezel.
