XSEED Games announced today that Ys SEVEN will be available on Aug. 17 in North America on UMD or digitally on the PlayStation Network. The PSP exclusive has also gone gold, and you will be able to pick up the standard edition for $29.99 USD and the Limited Collector’s Edition for $49.99.
The collector’s edition includes a soundtrack CD, 60-page art book, and a 12.5” x 34” cloth map highlighting the expansive world of the Ys series. You can land the collector’s edition at Amazon.com, GameStop, and other retailers.
Ys SEVEN is developed by Falcom, one of the longest-running development studios in Japan, with its first RPG released in 1983. The new release is the first iteration of the series built specifically for the PSP.
The game features an action-based real-time battle system that allows you to swap between any of the three-member battle party on the fly. Look for nine playable characters with unique fighting styles, four difficulty levels, 3D environments, and more than 30 hours of gameplay.
