Call of Duty 4, which released in the month of November, sold more than any other title on any game system released this year.

Activision sent out a press release dubbed "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Ranks #1 Title in Units Worldwide for Calendar 2007," in which they go on to report that according to The NPD Group, Chart Track and The GFK Group, Call of Duty 4 has already exceeded seven million units, with sales skyrocketing every single day.
Will Kassoy, senior vice president of global brand management at Activision commented, "We're very excited about this achievement especially given so many competitive titles this year. Consumer and critics agree that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is one of the best games ever created and further establishes Call of Duty as one of the premier brands in the industry."
Surprisingly, the title came third in US sales behind Halo 3 and Wii Play, but still managed to outsell them worldwide, thanks in great part to the ever-expanding European market.
We recommend you go pick up Call of Duty 4 today. Oh wait, you already have.

No splitscreen = Blah (I REALIZE it has LAN splitscreen, but not co-op or online), otherwise it would have truly been one of the Greatest.
Co-op splitscreen** would of really completed that already amazing game. lol
not on campaign....OR online...

This is the best game I've played since Killzone.I'm not at all comparing the two,it's just that I loved Killzone.As Phil Harrison once said,"it's the most fun anyone should be allowed to have with their clothes on" when referring to Motorstorm.I feel the same way about COD4.WOW

Uh, LAN splitscreen only--which is worthless. It doesn't have co-op splitscreen for campaign mode (Resistance) or online multiplayer (Warhawk)...only for LAN games which is worthless...I know because I have the game too. Developers have become lazy and left out traditional features such as co-op splitscreen....thank goodness Haze will 4 person co-op splitscreen!
I believe the reason why Fr33Dogg said his rude comment was due to the fact that there is infact splitscreen in COD4. Now had you said there is no Co-Op play then he would have had no reason to say what he said. Well he still didn't need to be rude about it, but he is not wrong.
@Undying_Darkness So what if it passes Halo3! Your talking about a game available on many consoles vs a game available only on the 360. This is a great achievement for Call of Duty, but it really shows you just how big the Halo sales are!

I agree with you, but I didn't mean LAN split screen (I realize it has LAN splitscreen, but who uses that?), I meant co-op splitscreen or online splitscreen. It has neither so loses much of its greatness. But yeah, he's right to a degree, it "officially" has a type of splitscreen.

I'm very Impressed with COD's sales. Infinity Ward needs to make more games, they're one of the greatest devs out there.

Is this really any surprise? Not really the only surprise is that in the US some of you morons would rather play Halo 3 which is in all ways inferior to COD 4 especially graphics. Glad I contributed to they're sales.

soory, i don't play on-line often (still havn't finished the game itself ) and i've never experienced any problems when i did play online and i agree that a mode co-op on splitscreen like resistance would of been a good idea and why not a mode co-op on inernet too
This is easily the best FPS game on any market!!!!!!
9.8/10 - If you play online, and online with this game is a must to truely experience the game!!!
I luv this game, makes me regret UT3 already since I never play any other FPS other then COD4! Can't wait for #5!
