Price drops are definitely a good thing.  Now all we need are the AAA games, and all will be good.

I can only see things getting better for Sony in the upcoming year with all the great games like uncharted ratchet, gta, haze mgs4, killzone, cod4, assassins creed, orange box, uts, littlebigplanet........

as of 7:54pm eastern time, the 80gb is sitting at number 7.  that is a HUGE increase in sales.  GO GO GO !!!!

The price drop isnt the only reason people are snapping up the 80gb. it's also because people are scared of being forced to get the 40gb and loose all backwards compatibility. People dont want to have to deal with two systems when they can use ONE. The price drop helps them make the decision quicker to run out and get the 60gb but since there are so few on the market right now the 80gb becomes the next thing they choose since they both cost the same if you can find them.

perfect time to buy a ps3, what else arer you waiting for, the big AAA games are here next month. Also you have a very cheap ps3 on the market.
