Bayonetta TGS trailer features first gameplay footage

Gameplay footage from Platinum Studios' spiritual successor to Devil May Cry has finally been shown!

The Bayonetta TGS trailer looks pleasingly over-the-top and flashy, which was very much expected, being the new title from Devil May Cry creator Hideki Kayima. Check it out.

Bayonetta, the main character/witch, has some crazy form of hair shift-shaping ability, evidenced when a demonic hair-fist springs forth to thoroughly own an angel baddie square in the jaw. This also seems to result in a White Knight Chronicles/Blue Dragon-esque embodiment of one of these hair-demons.

The game has got everything going for it. Here's to hoping it stays that way.

    if its a japanese game at TGS...

    then why are the voices in english?

    wow, it looks fun but the sexual connotations are rediculous and quite unneccesary, im all for female roles in games but they need to be more realistic like nariko from HS not some freaking sex kitten with guns (alright when i put it that way its doesnt sound so bad) but you get my point

     The visuals are certainly good.Looks similar to DMC but hopefully it'll be better than DMC4 which was a let-down in my opinion.

    @6 I agree, Japanese developers still have a chauvanistic attitude towards women.  Stereotypical superbabe with big boobs wearing skin-tight clothing, and crotch shots abound.  It just seems really immature to me.

    the creater of this game likes to do that. which is cool to me. if you design a charachter that is from an english speaking culture let it speak english. He did the same with devil may cry.  if you switch your region setting to japanese the game will have english dialog with japanese subs.
