Bethesda has announced a brand new Fallout game during a press event in London today. The game has been named Fallout: New Vegas, and is planned for release in 2010 for the Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3.
Unfortunately, Bethesda’s Pete Hines was reluctant to divulge much of any details on the project, other than the fact it’s in the works.
However, we do know that the game is being developed by Obsidian, the team behind the class RPG Neverwinter Knights 2, and that it’ll use the same engine as Fallout 3.
More details are expected soon.
Stay tuned.

What about a new Oblivion?
Bigger
Better Graphics
More weapons
Bring some dragons
You can Pick animal to help you, like: dog (bite and bark), hawk ( see the enemies from far and pick objects that you can't reach) and so on.
And of course, use the Cry Engine 3.
That's all.

You guys, Bethesda already said they're working on TES V, I'm guessing this is a branch working on a separate game.

Awesome news!
Hopefully it'll have the same DLC on each console, but no doubt Microsoft will buy some exclusive content. -

There's just too much damage done to the PS3 version for fans to even consider purchasing the next one. If you do, then you're a fool because this very article states that nothing will be changed(technically) over the last one. Not to mention adding insult to injury by not providing DLC to sony platform owners. If you buy the next fallout game, I hope it bricks your PS3 because you should be wiser by now.

Im willing to buy it on 2 conditons:
1. The game isnt released as a buggy piece of **** like Fallout 3 was, and still is. The bugs are really, really annoying (But I still love the game).
2. Bethesda/Obsidian aren't ******bags about exclusive DLC like they were with Fallout 3. There should be multiplat DLC for multiplat games. I can't stress this enough because I hate it when game developers are pricks just because they get offered a million dollars. I BET that they would make 2x as more money as they would if the DLC was on PS3 too.

Neverwinter Nights, not Neverwinter Knights---& NWN 2 was crap
Obsidian is a mediocre dev at best, why couldn't they get someone like Bioware?

Won't purchase it unless they give PS3 owners at least 2 Down Loadable contents. Loved Oblivion and Fallout3 but as a consumer they let me down. They didn't consider my feelings and I wasn't aware of their lack of appreciation of the Fallout 3 PS3 owners. I can not and will not buy this without them assisting PS3 owners on the current products they sold us. They gave very little PS3 content to PS3 owners and more than double to XPoop360.

That's awsome! I'm glad to see Bethesda still workin on Fallout, I really loved it. I kinda want them to do something with The Elder Scrolls after this one, or possibly work on another. Either way, keep on truckin guys!
