Confirmed: PSN redesign & Warhawk expansion to come

As rumors keep sprouting everywhere on anything and everything PlayStation related, it can be a bit tedious to keep track of them all, but not in this case. One of the most recent rumors that has sprouted was the idea of a PlayStation Network (PSN) redesign to come soon.
Well Gamasutra recently did an interview with John Hight, SCEA's director of product development and got the confirmation.
In the interview Hight stated that, "I think you will see a pretty big change in the PlayStation Network in the early part of April, where we roll out some new interface stuff largely based on customer feedback." While we still don't know the exact details of changes, there are other rumors floating around like the possibility of video downloads.
Hight also confirmed another rumor about a possible Warhawk Expansion coming soon. He stated in the interview that, "We just released an expansion on Warhawk in September, and we'll release another one in April."

I'm not that crazy about Warhawk...i downloaded it once it came out but never got hooked on it. I just got tired of it after a few weeks. I think the reason I hated it so much because when it first came out, it was almost impossible to connect to a server, especially if it was a ranked server, so I was never able to rank up, so I kind of lost interest.

@hyperslug. I gotta agree with IONIXX on this one. I played Cod4. And its online play VS. Warhawk is garbage. Not even close to the type of warfare Warhawk has to offer.

Probably might have to do with the MGO beta. I mean, how are we supposed to get the beta download anyway? I don't think there is a place to enter our download codes. The WarHawk/Home betas were different because they were Sony's games, so they can be assigned to PSN accounts. Oh well, I welcome change.

Warhawk doesn't say me anything. I bought it because of the popularity/hype, and when I played it I was like; "Oh my... Is it really THAT hyped up?!"
Warhawk is difficult to control, too big maps, lame starting weapons/difficult to get other weapons and n00bs are being r'ped so badly you'll think it's a lie.
So InfernoReaper, for your own sake, save that money for anything else!

@Killercop if the maps are to big how does planes carry the Blue flag to the red base on the archipelagos map. Weapons that are too hard to find is a myth they have all been placed very well heres some advice get back to your Halo3 sessions

Bring on April!!!!! And yes Warhawk is the best and I am a noob on there and I actually do pretty good. Granted I only have about 6 hr's logged in on there but I do have a job and a family I have to put first then Warhawk. You can't get teamkilled by bored kids in Warhawk! COD4 also needed a damned "mute" feature for all the annoying idiots that are on there. Yeah, the BASE game of COD4 is cool and realistic, but the online experience has degenerated into stupidity nowadays. I can't play it anymore until that patch is released.

I've been eagerly waiting for a patch for COD4 also. I'm sick of these punks who think it's "cool" to sit there and let music play the whole round. Then you have those that mess with the voice changer and a bunch of other crap. Back on topic, I've had Warhawk since it was released and I haven't played it since.

In terms of online I would rate COD4 a 1 and Warhawk a 9. COD4 is far too repetitive and the levels are like small apartments. Then you throw in the open mic and no vehilces, and its not a game I will purchase. The Omega pack is cool for Warhawk, there just isnt enough people playing it.

This sounds good, I hope its not all hype. Think about it though it's about time they do a redesign of the PSN. It should fl0w and not just be a bunch of web pages with links to the downloads. Come on Sony we know your working on it, but why make us wait? (BTW: all downloads should be in 1080p no questions asked)

woot, woot Sony is really supporting us consumers! Ya def pick up Warhawk Pauls. My fav PS3 online game. Im syced for the expansion pack.
@ Xandure. NO. All videos should not be 1080p. Me a non HDTV owner would not like to wait and download the extra space HD 1080p videos take up.

COME ON!!! a lot of people here states that warhawk is the best online game on the ps3 like it is some kind of universial fact... I bought it on the month it came out, and yes it is a good game in my opinion but i have had much more fun with cod4....
Yes i agree cod has its issues like imature kids and the lack of a mute option, but playing a hardcore match with other good players is something warhawk cant match in my opinion... Still warhawks are awesome and the games do not really play the same... COD is still the best i think and i have played both a lot
