Dead Rising 2 will have multiplayer

Initially, Capcom denied reports that Dead Rising 2 multiplayer existed, citing that a previous employee had made a mistake in revealing such. However, today Capcom has confirmed that Dead Rising 2 will indeed feature some form of online multiplayer. According to Capcom's development head, Keiji Inafune, all games now should ship with some form of multiplayer content.
"Rest assured we are going to put multiplayer in the game," as reported by Eurogamer. "I can't go into specifics about what type of multiplayer as that directly relates to some of the game systems that we don't want to talk about at this event. It will be online multiplayer."
Inafune says that he believes single-player is no longer enough within games. He firmly believes that all games should ship with much more than that in order to increase the playing experience.
We'd like to know how you feel about this "revelation," and if you think all games should ship with some form of multiplayer action. Share your thoughts below.

Yeah. The best way to go is have the Multiplayer aspect in an add-on that is optional to the game. If Capcom adopted this aspect to all of their games, eventually people would stop griping about it and saying "It shoulda been on the disc" and understand that it really is a better way to go.
What's a couple bucks? If you want the multiplayer bad enough you'll get it. If you dont, you won't. I personally had no problem buying the add-on for RE5.

sounds like a great idea. But im stil waiting for games to allow more than one person per system to play online.
I often have friends over, and its no fun having to swap the controller around each time someone dies. For me, multiplayer is a must, but I'm waiting for games to allow more than one person per system.

Probably only for Xpoops3shixty. I'm tired of hearing about X-poop spin offs.

i think all games should ship like resident evil 5, online story mode. its so cool to have a player join you for your story to get past certain points or to play thorugh with. That is the way forward. although the rip off extra dlc to play versus is not. Loving it still the same and can't wait for this game.

@ 8 - You're probably thinking about Lost Planet 2 (which I will do without since I refuse to buy the year-old, port-job original).
Either way, I won't be buying into capcoms desperation move to "grace" PS3 owners with a sequel to a game where the original never arrived on the system I own. Sorry in advance if I offend anybody(or not), but people who gobble up handouts like this are only perpetuating the problems Sonys platform is experiencing. First-party FTW!!!!!
