Capcom has had incredible success with its Resident Evil Remakes, with Resident Evil 2, Resident Evil 3, and Resident Evil 4, and the recently announced Resident Evil: Veronica. A remake of the SEGA Dreamcast and PlayStation 2, Code Veronica.
With such success remaking their most popular titles, it’s only natural that Capcom may be looking at remaking their other franchises as well, and Devil May Cry may be next on the list.

The rumor comes from notorious leaker “just your average leaker.” The claim states that not only is the Devil May Cry Remake in development, but that it’s very far along:

Of course, you should take this as just a rumor, but the leaker is followed by the notorious Capcom and Resident Evil leaker Dusk Golem, who has proven accurate in the majority of his leaks, especially those related to the Resident Evil franchise.
Devil May Cry hasn’t had a brand-new game in the franchise since Devil May Cry 5, which released seven years ago in 2019. The franchise has seen a big boost since the release of the Devil May Cry anime on Netflix, which recently got renewed for a third and final season.
